One of the Best Boutique Hotels in Athens City Center with Acropolis Views
When planning a trip to Greece, one of the first questions travelers ask is: where to stay in Athens? The city is full of accommodations, but if you’re looking for something with character, comfort, and an unbeatable location, we found the perfect spot on our recent Babymoon to Europe. Not only did it have Acropolis views, but it was one of the most charming boutique hotels in Athens that was the perfect spot for us to explore the city by foot (or by Metro). Not to mention, it was surprisingly affordable.
First Impressions: A Vintage Touch in the Heart of Athens
The moment we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly reception (which even having a reception has become a rare amenity at the smaller boutique hotels in Athens).
After checking-in, a vintage elevator playing classical music carried us up to our room. This set the tone perfectly — making us realize we found a hidden gem with soul and style.

The Room: Bright and Spacious with Comfortable Beds
Our room was filled with natural light streaming through big windows, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere after busy days exploring the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable (a must after walking the historic streets of Athens), and there was even a small dressing area that made unpacking and getting ready feel extra convenient.
The bathroom surprised us—it was spacious, modern, and stylish, a refreshing change from the often-cramped bathrooms you find among most hotels in Europe. It’s the little details like this that make a stay feel so much more relaxing.

Modern Comforts Meet Old-World Charm
While the building had a boutique, vintage charm, the amenities were modern and up-to-date. We enjoyed having a Smart TV in the room—perfect for winding down after a day of sightseeing.
But the real highlight was the rooftop garden with Acropolis views. A few of the rooms even had Acropolis views as well, but we chose a more budget-friendly room. But sitting there with a glass of wine (or juice for my pregnant self) as the sun set over one of the world’s most iconic landmarks was an experience we’ll never forget.

Location, Location, Location
Another reason this was one of the best boutique hotels in Athens is because of the location. At first, we booked this hotel in Athens because it was close to the Syntagma Metro Station, but after arriving, we realized we were able to easily walk to all of the Athens tourist attractions:
- The Acropolis and Parthenon – Athens’ most famous historic site, just a stroll away.
- The Areopagus — The location of the famous speech by the Apostle Paul. It also has great views of the Acropolis and incredible city views especially of the Athens sunset
Syntagma Square – the heart of Athens and home to the Greek Parliament and the famous Changing of the Guard
Monastiraki Market – a vibrant spot for souvenir shopping, cute cafes, great Greek street food, finding local treasures.
Mt. Lycabettus & Funicular — One of the best sunset views in Athens
- Restaurants, Cafes, Gelato & Grocery — Truthfully, some of our favorite coffee shops, Gelato, and Greek food were just around the corner from this hotel
Being so close to the Metro at Syntagma also made it incredibly easy to explore other neighborhoods and attractions.
A Hearty Breakfast was Included
The self-serve breakfast buffet was the perfect start to our day of exploring all the main tourist attractions in Athens. With hot scrambled eggs, an egg tart, homemade pastries, cold meat & cheese, a couple kinds of bread, and a delish Greek yogurt with fresh fruit, this hearty breakfast made our stay at this boutique hotel in Athens even more enjoyable than we could have even imagined.
Even the Breakfast Room itself oozed with so much character and charm.

Why This Boutique Hotel is a Jewel in Athens
If you’re wondering where to stay in Athens for sightseeing, or you want a hotel that balances character with comfort, this is one of the best boutique hotels in Athens that we have ever stayed. With its central location, cozy rooms, spacious bathroom, vintage charm, and unbeatable Acropolis rooftop views, it checked all the boxes for us.
Whether you’re visiting Athens for a short city break or as part of a longer Greek adventure, this hotel in Athens is a true jewel in the city center—one we’d happily return to again.

E-Sim Internet Service in Europe
To stay connected while traveling in Europe, we get an Airalo E-Sim
Whether we’re using Google Maps to navigate the historic streets of Athens or googling where the best Souvlaki is near the Acropolis, it’s essential that we stay connected and have some internet while exploring Europe.
Don’t do the T-Mobile or AT&T International Roaming plans for about $10 per day — it’s kind of a rip off! You can get the exact same service for much cheaper with Airalo and it is super easy to install!
